Email “critical” to success of affiliate programmes
Email marketing can be “critical” to the success of affiliate programmes, an expert has suggested.
Regimantis Andre, creator of affiliate network Click2Sell, said that while affiliate programmes can be a good way to increase a business’ income, their usefulness can be affected if emails are mistaken for spam.
Writing on PromotionWorld, Mr Andre, pointed out that there are a number of ways in which companies can ensure their messages are correctly targeted so they end up in the intended recipient’s inbox.
“If you are building your own list of email newsletter readers, then use a double opt-in method of asking customers to subscribe,” he advised. “This will prevent your emails being sent to the spam folder.”
Mr Andre also pointed out that affiliate programmes allow companies to conduct creative viral marketing methods to attract as many customers to their sites as possible.
The more visitors and sales affiliates bring, the higher the chance that those visitors will bring companies even more visitors and sales.
