Payment is top gripe for affiliate marketers
Unsatisfactory payment procedures are among the top gripes for affiliate marketers, new research from EntroPay shows.
The survey, which was conducted at the A4U Expo last month, revealed that just 23 per cent of affiliate marketers are happy with the way they are paid.
Meanwhile, more than six in ten (62 per cent) of merchants said they are satisfied with the process they currently have in place for affiliates, showing a significant disconnect between merchants and affiliates on the subject of payments.
Out of all the affiliates questioned, payment speed and decreasing marketing budgets were among their primary concerns.
The survey also showed that the majority (67 per cent) of respondents said they were unaware that the administrative costs for merchants when making international payments are often as high as £25 per transaction.
Alex Misfud, chief executive of EntroPay, told Precision Marketing: “Affiliate marketing is one of the most popular sales and marketing channels in the online sector but current payment methods are creating a barrier to affiliate marketing growth.”
