Holiday company Butlins has appointed agency Lida to handle its marketing account.

The appointment follows a competitive pitch against a number of other agencies and means that Lida will help the Bourne Leisure-owned firm build on its successful Altogether More Fun campaign.

It is hoped that Lida will help Butlins make its direct marketing campaign more effective and help the firm achieve its sales targets by increasing Butlins’ brand awareness among potential consumers via a range of platforms.

Lida, which will be responsible for retention and loyalty activity, will work closely with Butlins’ other agency RPM3 Beachwood, which is credited with repositioning Butlins’ brand image through its latest campaign.

Lisa Thomas, chief executive of Lida, told Precision Marketing: “Butlins is a great British brand - it has a great story to tell and the economic climate has thrown up some interesting opportunities and challenges for the travel industry. We can’t wait to launch our first campaign.”

Claire Poole, head of marketing at Butlins added that the firm had been impressed by Lida’s “creative work and strategic direction”.
