T-Mobile offers YouTube customer support
T-Mobile has taken advantage of its close partnership with Google to launch its own YouTube channel for its customers.
Clients of the mobile firm will now have access to the T-Mobile YouTube G1 Channel, where questions can be sent and replies received in both written and video form, from experts and fellow consumers.
T-Mobile currently has a deal with Google which means it has exclusive access to Google’s Android operating system on its G1 phone.
Alongside the helpful clips, the site will host blogs containing hints and tips on using the phone.
T-Mobile head of online Brendon Cooling said that the company was following the trend of many in using social media to talk to its clientele.
“Social networking is a huge part of life for many of our customers, so launching a channel on YouTube was the next step in order to ensure our customers get the quality of service they deserve,” he said.
Mr Cooling concluded by saying that the firm was not “moving away from contact centre-led customer service”, but was simply expanding their offering.
