Web technologies provide myriad of engaging marketing tactics
Advances in web technology means that there are now a “myriad” of ways in which marketing campaigns can be made more engaging, an industry publication suggests.
According to Direct Marketing International (DMI) magazine, the explosion of new marketing channels means that marketing campaigns can reach specific audiences in more ways than ever before for
The UK-based publication pointed out that the proliferation of new channels also means that marketers are now also able to reach carefully-targeted sectors in a way that is “individual but not invasive”.
Sally Hooton, editor of DMI magazine, said: “The key word is targeting. Direct marketers aim to engage with consumers in the most effective way, such as talking to an audience which is happy to listen.
“Trying to sell something to someone who isn’t interested is clearly a waste of time and money and a good way of putting people off the product - and its producer - forever.”
Ms Hooton added that modern marketers have to ensure that they consider any marketing method that will elicit a warm welcome.
