Marketers turning to lead generation

A significant number of businesses are increasingly turning to lead generation as part of their marketing strategy, according to LeadPoint.

The lead exchange company, which exhibited at the Mortgage Business Expo last week, said it recorded over 300 businesses registering their interest over the two days of the show.

Difficult market conditions have led to an increase in the use of lead generation, as it is “one of the most effective and measurable way to spend your marketing budget”, LeadPoint said.

Justin Rees, head of marketing at Leadpoint UK, said: “Companies which had previously never needed to use lead generation to help them source new business were approaching us to find out how we could help them in the current climate.

“Lead generation has been proven to work for many businesses but the difference between those that make it a success and those that don’t is the approach taken.”

Mr Rees added that it is important to work with a lead provider who gives advice and support to make lead generation successful.
