Microsoft signs deal with Business-Scene.com
Microsoft has signed a new sponsorship deal with corporate social networking site Business-Scene.com.
The deal, which launches on November 17th, includes coverage for Microsoft at Business-Scene.com networking events and online and comes as part of the technology firm’s attempt to increase the adoption of its brand among small and medium-sized enterprises (SME).
Microsoft’s branding will appear on the Business-Scene.com website and on promotional material including emails, fliers and signage, as part of the deal.
The company will now be able to interact more effectively with SMEs, allowing them to raise their corporate profiles. Microsoft will join other Business-Scene.com sponsors, which include Blackberry, Business Matters magazine and the Telegraph Business Club.
Robert Epstein, head of small business at Microsoft UK, told B2B Magazine: “We are looking to work with the new wave of more recently established business community organisations that put a greater emphasis on communication through the web, yet still believe in the value of face-to-face interaction through even.”
Microsoft recently joined forces with Telstra to offer a range of mobile and telephony services as part of wider attempts to expand into the SME business IT services market.

I think it also is a great testament to the value of big brands targeting the SME market - there’s a lot of business to be had there.
