ROI important for 2009
Advertising professionals will be concerned of their return on investment (ROI) from campaigns this year as a result of the recession, it has been claimed.
Riley Samuda, sales executive at the official magazine of the Chartered Institute of Marketing the Marketer, made his comments at Technology for Marketing & Advertising 2009.
He said that it is more and more important for companies to check up on campaigns and monitor what they are doing.
Mr Samuda asserted that ROI is a current “buzz word” and that “any sort of platform that can show advertisers how they can do that [will be popular in 2009]“.
He added that search engine optimisation and pay per click are continuing to grow, while there is a fair amount of talk around social networks and organisations using them to target consumers.
Technology for Marketing & Advertising 2009 looked to let professionals from various spheres, such as direct marketing, digital marketing and advertising, to source new technology solutions to deliver their campaigns.
