Mobile internet campaign ‘allows Jaguar to dominate’
A promotional campaign has seen Jaguar “dominate” the mobile internet, the automobile manufacturer says.
More than 16,000 wallpapers and 12,000 videos have been downloaded by visitors to the Jaguar mobile internet site.
Among those who browsed beyond the homepage, the average visit lasted for two minutes and 12 seconds, the organisation reports.
Interactive marketing manager Rome Murphy comments: “We are particularly impressed with the user experience across a broad range of handset types.”
Jaguar adds that the conversion rate for visitors requesting a catalogue reached 1.2 per cent.
Furthermore, 2.6 per cent of users asked for details of their nearest dealer with a view to arranging a test drive.
Banner advertisements on wireless portals such as MSN and Yahoo! mobile sites resulted in 85,000 unique hits for Jaguar’s own site aimed at portable devices.
The website features links to download wallpapers, request a catalogue or locate a dealer, along with further information about the design, innovation and performance of Jaguar’s XF model.
Meanwhile, computer users are directed through to the regular version of the site.
