The delivery of audio and video content used by internet marketers is as important as the content, it has been claimed.
Phil Turnbull, marketing manager at the international hosting company Hostway, said that video or audio will “become second nature [in marketing]” in some form as the internet is “a very interactive medium”.
Mr Turnbull commented that “deliverability is still very important” as it does not matter how good a website is or how interesting the video may be, if it is not delivered effectively to the end user then it is not going to do its job.
He adds that the key to making a video and audio “more successful is to make sure that the deliverability is there”.
Mr Turnbull made his comments at Technology for Marketing & Advertising 2009 which took place in London last month.
There were 55 seminars at the event based around themes such as website design and e-commerce.
