Online ads ‘more effective while shopping’
People are more engaged by online adverts when they are searching for a particular item to purchase, according to a study.
The eBay Advertising report, which looked into the behaviour of internet shoppers, revealed that around two-thirds of the population (61 per cent) said they paid attention to an ad when looking for a product online.
Meanwhile, 18 per cent claimed they pay attention to an advert when they are browsing a portal and 13 per cent said they give their time to an ad when using social networks.
On top of this, 33 per cent of UK consumers shop a lot more compared to six months ago and 32 per cent of UK consumers said that they now research an item more to find the best one before purchasing.
It was recently revealed by Michael Stelzner’s How Marketers Are Using Social Media to Grow Their Businesses report that social media is used by 88 per cent of advertisers.
