New iPhone ‘likely to attract different consumers’
The new iPhone is likely to appeal to consumers who would not have bought earlier models, an expert believes.
Criticisms levelled at earlier generations of the device have been “addressed” by Apple in the new iPhone 3G S, according to Tom Newton, lead content writer at Mobile-Phones.co.uk.
He pointed out that the iPhone 3G S includes the option to send picture messages as well as the ability to cut and paste from texts and emails.
“This should see a greater level of interest in the iPhone 3G S from customers who would not have bought an iPhone 3G,” Mr Newton explained.
Another industry expert recently stated that mobile advertising is benefiting from changing user habits and new handsets.
Jon Mew, head of mobile for the Internet Advertising Bureau, said the growth of 3G devices has resulted in increased web usage among mobile phone users.
