Fashion-based social network launched
A new social networking site aims to harness the power of Web 2.0 technology to help in the sale of fashion items.
Trendi allows its members to vote and comment on individual products, as well as to email their friends should a particularly stylish garment appear on the site.
Products are ranked in terms of popularity, rather than according to new releases or those deemed fashionable by the industry.
“Trendi makes it easy to find other fashion-savvy women and to share ideas, outfits, or questions with friends,” comments chief executive officer Jenny Hall.
“What the community considers ‘magic’ stays at the forefront of our catalogue.”
More than 7,000 items have already been listed on the social network, with new garments to be added as they are launched by designers.
Trendi asserts that “fashion is dynamic - Trendi is accurate” and that its members can expect to see new features developed in the future to meet their changing fashion needs.
