Number of tips to keep in mind for SEO
There are a number of things that people can do to make their news stories more search engine-friendly, it is said.
Writing for Search Engine Journal, Monica Wright asserts that people can get a grip on search engine optimisation (SEO) by keeping a few hints in mind when creating news stories.
A relevant headline can grab people’s attention, even if it is not advertising what they are looking for, Ms Wright believes, while keyword tools can help companies work out what certain words are popular and what alternatives are available.
“Special sections, guides, seasonal content - all can generate ongoing search results and capture new audiences,” the writer comments.
“Relevant evergreen content can also help earn search traffic with inbound links,” she adds.
Earlier this month, Jeremiah Andrick, program manager and Live Search webmaster, stated that normalisation is needed for big companies to take advantage of SEO and it will benefit customers also.
