Oodle-powered Facebook application launched
Facebook Marketplace powered by Oodle has been launched to help people create, share and respond to listings.
The Marketplace application was first introduced to the Facebook platform in May 2007 so that people could place classified listings on the website, but now Oodle has created an entirely new version, explained Craig Donato, chief executive officer (CEO) of Oodle.
People or companies that have an active listing in Marketplace will be offered the option to transfer to it to the new Oodle-powered application, according to the CEO.
“We’re also excited to introduce new features including Sell for a Cause, which allows you to donate the profits of the items you sell to over a million participating charities including UNICEF,” Mr Donato revealed.
More categories are to be rolled out in the coming months, he added.
According to Hitwise, the most searched for brand in 2008 was Facebook, followed by Bebo and ebay.
