Facebook introduces new home page
Facebook has begun the roll out of its new home page - something which online advertisers may be affected by.
The new home page gives users more control over what they see in their streams, which could include advertisements, with the company believing it will make it easier to create content and receive real-time updates.
With the new news feed, Facebook users will find it easier to comment on content and get involved in conversations in real-time, according to the social network firm.
One of the new features of the home page is the Highlights addition.
“Highlights shows you what’s happening over a longer period of time, as opposed to the stream, which shows you what’s happening right now,” Facebook explained.
The social networking site is the second most visited website in the UK after Google and is also the most searched-for brand by UK online users, according to Hitwise UK.
