Advertisers looking to social media
A survey has found that 88 per cent of marketers are now using social media channels to advertise their business.
Michael Stelzner’s How Marketers Are Using Social Media to Grow Their Businesses report, also shows that 64 per cent of those surveyed said they were using social media for five hours or more every week, with 39 per cent doing so for ten or more hours each week.
“Given the low cost of entry, many marketing pros are doing more than just dipping their creative toes into this gold-laden water,” Mr Stelzner commented.
However, the study also showed that 72 per cent of marketers have been using social media for a few months or less, hinting that many are new to it.
eBay’s new Online Business Index reveals that 64 per cent of online businesses are confident about the future, as over three-quarters said they are planning to expand their firms this year.
